Simon Lee Dicker

At home, making art for public spaces or the more liberal environment of the art gallery,  Simon’s work embodies a shifting aesthetic that has taken the form of light-based and sculptural installations, earthworks, websites, action research and drawing. Simon’s particular form of ‘Social Sculpture’ embraces working collaboratively and across disciplines in the production of work that creates connections between people, places and ideas. Oscillating between public realm projects and studio based activity his practice is constantly on the move whilst retaining a simple playfulness, energy and intuitive thoughtfulness throughout.

In 2011 with his partner & long term creative collaborator Chantelle Henocq, Simon established OSR Projects, a transitional artists group that works predominantly out of the  Old School Room, an artist run studio and project space in rural Somerset.  The project space is a place for creative exploration and collaboration, a platform for artists to produce and exhibit work, and a place for creative practitioners to network and develop professional practice.
